Welcome to Ms. Krogseng's 6th Grade Class!

Welcome to sixth grade! I am Jody Krogseng, teacher of sixth graders for 20 years. I very much enjoy the energy and enthusiasm of this age group, they can amaze me in so many ways. Sixth grade is a time of transition for the kids in terms of socialization, work load and accountability expectations. They get their first Grade Book progress reports, have some choice in their Arts Specialist classes and have to master the art of locker combinations. All of these changes help prepare them for a successful move into Junior High. They leave us ready to work to the best of their abilities, be accountable for their words and actions, be responsible for their work completion and are set on their path to the joys of teenage living. It is an amazing journey to behold!

On a personal note, I can often be found working in my yard or reading a book. The best scenario is reading a book out in my yard:) My perfect retirement job would be working in a greenhouse, surrounded by gorgeous flowers and plants. I also enjoy time with my family and friends, my son is closer to 30 than 20 and I can't believe how time flies! I look forward to the day he makes me a Grandma, so I can cuddle and spoil my grandchild with love. In the meantime, I nurture and guide my students to the best of my abilities.
